TikTok recommends posting 1-4 times per day to maximize your reach and engagement on the platform. But as someone who creates content for multiple channels, I find it daunting to consistently churn out that much video content while juggling other marketing priorities.
That‘s why I‘ve been intrigued by the potential of AI tools to help speed up and streamline content creation for TikTok. In this post, I‘ll take you along my journey of trying to create a TikTok video from start to finish using only AI tools. Let‘s dive in!
The AI Workflow: How I Created a TikTok Video Using AI
My goal was to create a short, engaging TikTok video sharing some interesting facts and tips about healthy eating. Here‘s the step-by-step process I used:
Step 1: Generating a Script with ChatGPT
First, I needed a video script. I‘ve been playing around with ChatGPT and have been continuously impressed by its ability to generate human-like text output based on a prompt. So I decided to put it to the test for this task.
I gave ChatGPT the following prompt:
"Generate a 30-second script for a TikTok video sharing interesting facts and tips about healthy eating. Include the keywords ‘nutrition tips‘, ‘healthy food facts‘, and ‘eating well‘."
In just seconds, ChatGPT spit out this script:
"Do you want to eat healthier but don‘t know where to start? Here are 3 quick nutrition tips!
Healthy food fact #1: Eating a rainbow of colorful fruits and veggies ensures you‘re getting a variety of vitamins and minerals. Challenge yourself to eat at least 3 different colors per day.

I made a few tweaks for style and flow, but overall I was impressed by how well ChatGPT understood the assignment and incorporated the keywords naturally. It even included cues for the hook and CTA that are important in TikTok videos.
Step 2: Creating a Storyboard with DALL-E
Next, I wanted to visualize the key scenes and imagery to bring the script to life. But I‘m no graphic designer. That‘s where DALL-E came in.
DALL-E is an AI system that can generate original images from textual descriptions. You give it a prompt and it produces strikingly realistic (and sometimes hilariously bizarre) images.
To storyboard my TikTok video, I fed DALL-E prompts for the key visuals mentioned in the script, such as:
