Let‘s talk strollers! I‘m obsessed with my Lara for quick trips and travel. It weighs only 14 lbs and folds up teeny tiny – so helpful for city living.

The super compact fold is a game-changer for storing in small spaces or tossing in your trunk. It maneuvers surprisingly well for such a lightweight stroller. The drawbacks are a somewhat skimpy canopy and lack of a parent console or cup holder. But for a compact travel stroller, the Lara is tops!
Maxi Cosi Mara XT Ultra Compact Stroller
Traveling with 2 kids? Meet the Maxi Cosi Mara XT ultra compact stroller. It‘s pretty much the Lara‘s double trouble twin!
Just like the Lara, the Mara XT folds up super small to fit in most plane overhead compartments. Both seats recline independently, have breathable mesh backrests, and hold kids up to 50 lbs. The expandable canopies and basket are slightly bigger to accommodate double the gear. At 21 lbs it‘s definitely one of the lightest double strollers around.
In my experience, the Mara XT is incredibly easy to push, fold, and lift for a double. You will have to use two hands to fold it (unlike the Lara‘s one-hand fold). But that‘s a minor tradeoff. It does take up most of a trunk, so measure before you buy if you have a small car!

Now for arguably THE most important aspect of any baby product – safety! I‘m pleased to report Maxi Cosi has an excellent track record and reputation for safety. All their car seats meet or exceed federal safety regulations and come equipped with top-of-the-line protection features.
I had the chance to tour Maxi Cosi‘s factory and crash test facility in Europe a few years ago. Wow! To say their safety standards are rigorous is an understatement. Their seats undergo 2X more safety testing than legally required. They also employ dozens of certified passenger safety technicians to educate parents on correct usage.

I couldn‘t write a Maxi Cosi review without mentioning their FABULOUS fashions! If you know me, you know I‘m a sucker for cute baby gear prints and patterns. Well, Maxi Cosi‘s color collections are some of the best in the biz.
Each year, their design team releases limited edition trends featuring exclusive shades and motifs. For 2021, Maxi Cosi has three fashion-forward color stories:
